Lindsay and Trent’s Starling Ranch Wedding | Fort Meade, Florida

A Fun, Intentional, Love Filled Wedding at Starling Ranch

Lindsay and Trent during Golden Hour

Some weddings just settle deep into your heart, and Lindsay and Trent’s wedding at Starling Ranch in Fort Meade, Florida was one of those days for me. From the very first conversation, I could tell this was going to be more than just a beautiful celebration. It was going to be meaningful. It was going to be family centered. It was going to be full of love.

And it truly was a blessing to be part of.

If you are dreaming of a rustic barn wedding filled with personality, heartfelt moments, and a whole lot of joy, this one is so special.

Meet Lindsay and Trent

Lindsay and Trent’s story began at Cherry Pocket, where they had their very first date and immediately clicked. Trent is a welder who often travels for work, sometimes for long stretches at a time, but their relationship endured and only grew stronger. That kind of steady love says a lot about who they are.

Lindsay is a home health nurse with the biggest heart you will ever meet. She genuinely loves her patients and cares deeply for the people in her life. That compassion shows in everything she does. Together, she and Trent are hardworking, grounded, and full of laughter. They are building a life centered on faith, family, and fun.

Why They Chose Starling Ranch | Fort Meade Wedding Venue

Lindsay and Trent chose Starling Ranch, The Barn on the Lake because it is close to home and perfectly fit the relaxed, rustic vision they had for their day. Locally we call it Starling Ranch, and it is one of those venues that feels warm and welcoming the second you arrive.

Their February wedding gave us the most beautiful Central Florida weather. It was warm with the sweetest breeze coming off the lake. The ceremony overlooking the water felt peaceful and intimate, like it was exactly where they were meant to say their vows.

Wedding Design and Color Palette

The overall design leaned into a soft boho rustic feel that enhanced the natural charm of Starling Ranch instead of competing with it.

Color Palette

• Cream
• White
• Taupe
• Brown
• Blush Pink
• Gold

White linens paired with dark taupe cheesecloth runners added texture and warmth to the tables. The florals combined fresh and dried elements in the most beautiful way, bringing in softness while still honoring the barn’s character. Every detail felt intentional and true to Lindsay and Trent.

What They Wore

One of my favorite things about this wedding was how authentic it felt to who they are in everyday life.

Lindsay wore a stunning lace gown from Luxe Bridal Boutique in nearby Lake Wales. She looked absolutely radiant. There is something so special about a bride who looks like herself, just elevated, and that was exactly her.

Trent stayed true to his style with jeans, cowboy boots, a cowboy hat, and a cream blazer. His groomsmen followed suit, and it fit the setting perfectly. The bridesmaids wore champagne dresses in styles of their choosing from Azazie, which gave the bridal party a cohesive look while still allowing each woman to feel confident and comfortable.

Family Centered and Full of Meaning

This day was rooted in family.

Lindsay’s grandfather, Bobby King, officiated their ceremony. Watching a grandfather marry his granddaughter is something that will stay with you. It was emotional in the best way.

Her three daughters stood by her side in the wedding party, and her sister served as Maid of Honor. Later in the evening, the girls gave a heartfelt speech thanking Trent for loving them as his own. There truly was not a dry eye in the room. It was one of those moments that reminds you what marriage is really about.

Then, in true Trent fashion, he brought some humor to the reception. He rolled in on a car creeper wearing his welding mask to remove the garter. The entire room burst into laughter. It was unexpected, funny, and completely him.

The Famous Ugly Painting Tradition

Trent’s family has a tradition of passing down an “ugly painting” to each newly married couple. During the reception, Lindsay and Trent were presented with the painting, officially becoming the fifteenth couple to receive it.

The room was full of laughter, stories, and memories tied to that painting. It was such a fun way to honor family history while welcoming Lindsay into the tradition.

Watching Their Prayers Answered

Knowing their story made this day even more emotional for me. Lindsay found a partner who loves her fiercely and embraces her daughters wholeheartedly. Trent found his forever teammate and best friend.

You could feel the love surrounding them from morning to night. It was steady. It was joyful. It was genuine.

These are the weddings that remind me why I do what I do.

How We Met and My Special Touches

I met Lindsay and Trent through Starling Ranch, where I serve as a preferred coordinator. We connected right away, and that relationship matters so much. Your planner should feel like someone in your corner, not just another vendor.

I love adding personal touches for my couples whenever I can. For Lindsay and Trent, I designed a custom wedding program that included meaningful details and fun facts for guests to enjoy. Because they are beer lovers, I also had metal koozies engraved with Mr. Spears and Mrs. Spears as a gift to them.

Being trusted with a day like this is never something I take lightly. It is an honor every single time.

A Wedding Full of Love and Joy

Lindsay and Trent’s wedding at Starling Ranch was fun, intentional, and overflowing with love. From the lakefront ceremony to the laughter filled reception, every part of the day reflected who they are and what matters most to them.

It was truly a blessing to stand beside them as their coordinator and to watch their families come together.

Lindsay and Trent, thank you for trusting Something Blue Events with such a sacred chapter of your story. Your marriage is already rooted in love, and I know your future will be filled with laughter, faith, and so much joy.
