What is Wedding Management, and how is it different from "Day-of Coordination?"

At Something Blue Events, we don't believe "day-of coordination" truly exists. A successful wedding day requires weeks of preparation, thoughtful organization, and clear communication long before guests arrive.

Our Signature Coordination package begins the moment you book with unlimited communication and guidance throughout your planning journey. Sixteen weeks before your wedding, we begin our intensive management process by reviewing your vendor contracts, refining your design, creating your custom wedding weekend timeline, confirming logistics, and becoming the primary point of contact for your vendor team.

From leading your rehearsal to overseeing every moment of your wedding day, we manage the details so you can be fully present with the people you love.

What's the difference between Signature Coordination and Heirloom Partial Planning?

Both packages include comprehensive wedding management before your wedding, but they serve couples at different stages of the planning process.

Signature Coordination is perfect for couples who have already booked all of their vendors but want professional guidance, design refinement, and expert wedding management to bring everything together.

Heirloom Partial Planning is designed for couples who want more involvement throughout the planning process. In addition to everything included in Signature Coordination, you'll receive venue guidance, venue tours, additional planning meetings, and ongoing support from the day you book until your wedding day.

When should I book a wedding planner?

The sooner, the better.

Most of our couples reserve their date 8-18 months before their wedding. Booking early allows you to take full advantage of our planning guidance, preferred vendor recommendations, and ongoing support throughout your engagement.

Our calendar is intentionally limited to ensure every couple receives our full attention, so we recommend reaching out as soon as you've secured your venue.

Why should I hire a Certified Wedding Planner?

A Certified Wedding Planner has received professional education in wedding planning, logistics, etiquette, vendor management, contracts, timelines, and event execution.

Certification reflects our commitment to professionalism, continued education, and serving our couples with excellence.

With more than 15 years of experience in events and marketing, we combine industry knowledge with thoughtful planning to create weddings that are both beautiful and exceptionally organized.

Do you work with my vendors, even if they aren't on your preferred list?

While we maintain a carefully curated list of trusted wedding professionals, we're happy to collaborate with any licensed, insured vendor you've chosen. Our goal is to build a cohesive team that works together seamlessly to create an exceptional experience for you.

What areas do you serve?

Something Blue Events proudly serves couples throughout Central Florida, including Lakeland, Winter Haven, Orlando, Tampa, Clermont, Lake Wales, and the surrounding areas. We also travel for select weddings throughout Florida and beyond, bringing thoughtful planning and seamless wedding management wherever your celebration takes place.

Do you travel?

We do!!

While Central Florida is home, we happily travel for weddings throughout Florida and select destination celebrations. If you're planning outside our typical service area, let's talk.

How do I know which package is right for me?

Every wedding is different.

During your complimentary consultation, we'll discuss your vision, planning progress, guest count, budget, and priorities to determine which package best fits your needs. Our goal isn't to upsell you. It's to recommend the level of support that will serve you best.

Can I customize my package?

Certainly!

Every couple plans differently, which is why we offer personalized enhancements to complement our signature packages. Whether you'd like additional venue tours, rehearsal dinner planning, extra design assistance, timeline consulting, or other planning support, we'll build an experience tailored specifically to you.

Can I add services after booking?

Yes, many couples decide to add services as planning progresses. Whether you need additional planning meetings, design assistance, timeline consulting, or venue visits, we're happy to customize your experience as your needs evolve.

What is the investment?

Our Signature Coordination package begins at $2,000.

Heirloom Partial Planning begins at $3,500.

Wedding Consulting & Timeline Creation begins at $199.

During your consultation, we'll discuss your wedding and recommend the package that best aligns with your planning and support needs.

I already have everything planned. Do I still need a planner?

Without a doubt!

Your wedding day isn't the time to answer vendor questions, cue your wedding party, solve unexpected issues, or keep the timeline moving.

Even the most organized couples deserve to experience their wedding instead of managing it. We'll handle the logistics so you can focus on celebrating.

Do you provide an emergency kit?

We take great pride in our fully stocked wedding day emergency kit because being prepared is part of providing exceptional service.

We never arrive with just a clipboard. Our emergency kit is thoughtfully curated and equipped for just about anything your wedding day may throw our way. From sewing supplies, fashion tape, stain remover, lint rollers, and static spray to first aid essentials, medications, tissues, deodorant, snacks, bottled water, batteries, tools, chargers, beauty essentials, and hundreds of other carefully selected items, we've spent years building a kit designed to solve problems before they become stressful moments.

Most couples never realize how many little emergencies happen behind the scenes, and that's exactly the point. Whether it's a broken bustle, a missing button, a headache, a blister, or an unexpected wardrobe mishap, chances are we already have exactly what you need.

Our goal is simple: to handle the unexpected so you don't have to. While you're making memories with the people you love, we'll be behind the scenes keeping everything running smoothly so you can stay fully present, celebrate with confidence, and enjoy every moment.

Do you have décor items or rentals available for couples to use?

One of the perks of working with Something Blue Events is access to our growing collection of wedding décor and styling pieces.

Our inventory includes a variety of items such as card boxes, cake stands, ring boxes for flat lay photos, easels, signage displays, table numbers, decorative accents, and other thoughtfully curated pieces to help elevate your wedding day. These items are available exclusively to our couples and can help save you both time and money by eliminating the need to purchase décor you'll only use once.

We're always expanding our collection, so be sure to ask what's available throughout your planning journey. If there's something specific, you're looking for, there's a good chance we either have it or can point you in the right direction!

How many weddings do you take each weekend?

JUST ONE.

We intentionally accept only one wedding per weekend, so every couple receives our complete attention, energy, and support. Your wedding deserves our full focus, and that's exactly what you'll receive.
